Leadership That Drives Results
Clint Schmitz - President
Clint grew up on a farm in Iowa, where he discovered his passion for building by working alongside his dad and stepdad on everything from farm structures to home remodels. He earned a degree in Civil and Structural Engineering from Iowa State University and moved to Colorado in 2007.
Clint spent years managing the construction of high-rise buildings across the country before shifting his focus to client-centered work as a General Contractor. Today, he leads Schmitz Design-Build with a commitment to precision, transparency, and lasting partnerships. Outside of work, Clint enjoys sporting clays, golf, and hiking with his family.
Ben Geiger - Vice President of Development
Ben grew up in Indiana and earned his degree in Finance and Real Estate from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. He began his career in real estate development in Cincinnati before relocating to Denver in 2007. After years of managing vertical construction and tenant improvement projects, Ben transitioned to general contracting in 2018.
Since then, he has focused exclusively on industrial construction and development, bringing deep expertise in complex projects and client-focused delivery. Outside of work, Ben enjoys time with his wife and two children, playing golf, traveling, and staying active in Colorado’s outdoors.
Chad Granda - Vice President of Operations
Chad grew up in northwestern Pennsylvania and moved to Colorado in 1993, settling in the Durango area. After earning a Construction Management degree from Colorado State University, he began his career with a national home builder, where he managed the completion of more than 500 homes and over $300 million in sales.
Chad later transitioned to commercial construction, taking on roles as a Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Operations leader before becoming Vice President. Over the past decade, he has successfully delivered numerous complex projects with a focus on quality and efficiency. Outside of work, Chad enjoys time with his wife and son and stays competitive playing volleyball.
